ReXelection: Brandish, also known as Sword Slash, is a ReXelection used in Mighty No. 9. It is obtained by defeating Mighty No. 7, Brandish, as Beck. Ray's equivalent is Variation Code: Brandish.

Appearance

Upon transformation, Beck's helmet and color scheme is change to resemble Brandish's armor. The headphone-like sides of his head also becomes red, and Beck's insignia is replaced with Brandish's.

Functionality

When uncharged, Beck will attack the enemy with a close-range sword. While the attack button is held, Beck will charge up a spin attack that can be controlled with the direction buttons. However, if Beck holds in the full charge for too long, he will get dizzy, which will prevent him from moving after releasing the attack. Alternatively, if the up button is held before and while the attack is released, Beck will do a jump attack which can attack enemies from above and below.

ReXelection: Brandish also has a secondary function of deflecting enemy projectiles and even make Beck invincible.

Trivia

• Just like with the ReXelection: Pyrogen, the fatigue's effects can be nullified by dashing quickly after releasing the power.
• The weapon gauge only gets empty when charge-attacks are used.
