Mighty Gunvolt, also known as Gal*Gunvolt on the Playstation 4 and PS Vita, is an 8-bit crossover game for the Nintendo 3DS developed by Inti Creates (the same development team that worked on Mighty No 9). This game features Beck, Gunvolt from Azure Striker: Gunvolt, & Ekoro from Gal Gun as playable characters.
It also features Pyrogen & Brandish's stage as a DLC.
On April 19th, 2017, a sequel titled Mighty Gunvolt Burst was announced for Nintendo Switch and 3DS.
Gameplay[]
Mighty Gunvolt is a platform game with an 8-bit style similar to classic NES games such as Mega Man (1-6).
Players will shoot their way through five stages with each one ending in a boss fight against the Sumeragi adepts of Azure Striker Gunvolt.
Players can play as one of three characters: Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Beck from Mighty No. 9, and Ekoro from Gal*Gun.
Each character has their own abilities. Beck is able to jump and shoot as well as dash & charge dash, however unlike in Mighty No. 9, he can't absorb enemy powers. Gunvolt can double jump and use a chargeable lighting attack. Ekoro can float while in mid-air and attract enemies to fight alongside her.
